I Found You Friend

At times when I lose my spiritual connection to God

I know I can always find him in the eyes of a friend.

Lost my soul and I couldn’t find it anywhere,

looked for God he was nowhere to be found.

Searched in vain but I couldn’t find love anywhere,

Then one day heaven opened up its door.

Was then I found you friend and I found what I was looking for,

for it is in your eyes I see the portals of your soul.

And when God thinks of me it is you he sends to help me,

and when he smiles on me its through you that I am told.

Friends are those we love and trust and cherish,

friends are those we hold close to our hearts.

Friends are those who love and care and nourish,

friends are those whose souls will never part.

Was then I found you friend and I found what I was looking for,

for it is in your eyes I see the portals of your soul.

and when he smiles on me, its through you that I am told.
