Truth or Consequences

The Christ Consciousness reflects Spiritual Truth and corresponds perfectly with reality. The kingly Christ intelligence, appointed by the transcendental God to govern all creation is the witness, the reflection of the Truth out of which comes all that exists. Cause and Effect or Karma, as it is known in Eastern Philosophy, is an uncompromising law whereby the consequences of thoughts and actions sown, are reaped precisely in kind.* Therefore, there are no victims. We create the quality of our eternal lives according to what we think and do. Fortunately, there is a remedy to lessen the insidious consequences of limiting negative Karma and to increase the magnanimous blessings of good Karma.

To know the truth about any person, circumstance or condition automatically corrects the circumstance or condition to the extent this truth is understood by the knower. Whenever the Christ imbued Spiritual Truth is raised up in thought with sufficient realization, healing follows, whether it be a physical, moral or intellectual affliction. It makes no difference how difficult a particular problem may appear to be. The actual spiritual truth behind the appearance of an erroneous condition will heal it, being as it will be corrected by no less than the direct action of God himself. The higher laws of Spirit supersede all the lower laws of the physical plane. This surely means that Man, because of his Divine selfhood, has the power to rise above the physical plane into the realm of infinite Spirit where the laws of the lower plane no longer affect him. The laws of the physical plane have not been broken, Man has simply risen above them.

Karmic law gives no preference to anyone, nor does it overlook the slightest occurrence. Fortunately the law governs matter and not Spirit, for in Spirit all is perfect and eternal unchanging Goodness. Here, there is no good or bad karma to be reaped or to be sown. Therefore when Man, through prayer and contemplation, elevates his consciousness to the pure realm of Spirit beyond physical matter,** he comes under the perfect laws of God. Bad Karma is seen to be the surmountable consequences of entrenched erroneous beliefs. The negative consequences of Cause and Effect, the cause of all suffering, are transcended.

This means nothing less than the fact that Karmic debt accumulated by wrong thoughts and actions can be overcome by sufficiently altering the character of Man by means of intuitive perception. As a repentant transgressor becomes more “Christ like,” the consequences of his offenses are transcended, being as the Christ Consciousness is the ruler of Cause and Effect. He perceives belief in limitation to be the duplicitous power that creates and sustains it. It is somewhat like light flooding into a darkened room when a switch has been turned on, seekers were stumbling in the darkness simply because they were unable to find the switch. Herein lies the true meaning of Christ coming into the world to redeem and save it. As Man enters the realm of Spirit and is enlightened by the Christ Consciousness, he shall know the Truth and the Truth shall set him free to rise above all limitations. The realization of the Christ Truth is that which tips the scales of Karma in his favor.
